Hollerphonic Records began as a rumored mail-order cassette label operating out of a cinderblock building behind a used tire shop somewhere between the Blue Ridge and the Alleghenies.
The mission
We document regional acts too strange for Nashville, too rural for New York, too sincere for Los Angeles, and too loud for church basements.
Most releases were allegedly sold at flea markets, county fairs, roller rinks, livestock auctions, gas stations, and one unusually aggressive dentist’s office.
The sound
Outlaw country, Blue Ridge trap, barn rave, grocery-store funk, porch goth, coalfield techno, dead mall synthpop, mountain glam, and whatever Hollerwave becomes before the authorities notice.

All lore is highly suspect.
Hollerphonic is a fictional record label and creative music project. Any resemblance to real county-fair legends, gas-station rappers, vanished funk bands, or suspicious pawn-shop tapes is spiritually accurate but legally coincidental.
